That station was gated by the DStar system into the APRS-IS. 9/6/08 Springbrook DStar repeater, VK4RGC, now appearing on the APRS-IS. 6/6/08 Fraser Coast, IGate, located North of Childers now operational, thanks to Bill Horner (VK4FW). This IGate fills in the once missing bit of the Fraser Coast section of the Bruce Highway. Coverage reports are appreciated. 3/6/08 VK4NRL-1, looks like a home based digipeater is now in Dalby, extending VHF coverage well into the Darling Downs. 29/5/08 VK4FNQ-3, Charters Towers digi delivered, expecting to be on air shortly. VK4RCA-3, Cairns digi on test, expect to be on air later in June. 28/5/08 Far north Queensland now has VHF APRS, thanks to Gavin. Townsville and surrounds are now serviced by VK4RAT-3 and IGate, VK4ZZ. 2/4/2008 Brisbane now has 70cm APRS, for those who wish to connect to APRS via RF and see more stations tune to 439.100 and point your beam towards Northgate. Other services provided by VK4TGV-2 are DXCluster (RX only at present), message store and forward, info-kiosk. Send ?INFO to VK4TGV-2 for a list of available commands. Note these commands are not fixed, all suggestions and comments are welcome. 1/4/2008 Vk4 Webpages - you have probably figured out by now, new content has been uploaded. This is a bit of a temporary measure until the National APRS webpages are finished, at that time these pages will be reformatted to reflect that sites look and feel. This website will provide Qld specific information only. General APRS information is available on the National website or from the many other sources on the web. 15/3/2008 Many SEQ digipeaters now supporting the WIDEn-N paradigm, please change your mobile and fixed UNPROTO paths accordingly to help regain VHF bandwidth. The upgrades will help in almost completely eliminating unnecessary duplicated packets, giving all mobiles a chance to be heard by a digipeater and ultimately be gated to the IS. |
